A Falling Song
Heavy heart
A falling song
Nowhere have I found
I do belong
Snarling denial
Whispering conscience
Lovely drain
Of sweeping penance
Strong arms
A comforting embrace
Whispers of love
In myself- my race
In the dark
I know it’s wrong
But how else am I
Supposed to be strong?
Warm- the place I have found
In a strange wonderland
Nothing is sound
My conscience screams
My mind burns
But I insist
Refusing to learn
