Meant Something
Wish I meant something,
To somebody,
Standing here,
Shaking from the cold,
Flooding from my heart.
Out of sight,
Hidden in the shadows,
Wishing I meant something,
To somebody,
As the cold seeps into my blood.
Hands turning blue,
Breath forming clouds,
Shaking in the corner,
Wishing on shooting stars,
Hoping someone will answer my prayers.
I wish I meant something,
To somebody,
Hidden in the corners,
No fire to warm my heart,
Just melting ice,
A glacier,
Running through my veins,
Freezing me out.
Watching from above,
Not feeling the pain,
As the ice seeps through my veins.
Wishing upon shooting stars,
Hoping someone will answer my cries,
In this moonless night.
Darkness,
Joining the ice,
Shivers,
Enough to break my soul.
It flows out of me,
Leaving me motionless,
A shadow,
Hidden in the dark,
And my wishes,
Every one of them,
Useless.
The stars wink out,
As my prayers fade,
Echoes in this dark façade.
Floating above,
I realize,
I never meant anything,
To anybody.
