Saying Goodbye
Saying goodbye
Has been so hard
But when the snow drops grow above
Soon I hope
You will be alive once more
You are in my heart
My companion
My child hood friend
The warm hot water bottle
Besides my feet whilst I slept
I will tell my grandchildren about you
Your gentle, soft purr
Still echoes around this house
The space on the chair in the corner
Is no longer occupied
By a long staying guest
Twenty years of preciousness
For my beautiful Tess
