Darkness everywhere
Bleak despair
All around
No hint of comfort
To be found.
Not a trace of happiness
On the ground
All are sad
Of what they see
But amidst this hopelessness
There is a light
Burning bright
Just out of reach.
That light is you,
You brighten my way
In a special
Kind of way.
