The River
October 16, 2012
I can see the water dripping in the river,
Falling from heights of eucalyptus trees.
Storms are brewing above our heads,
But the droplets sound so calming--
Chaos and turbulence swirl by me.
Into it.
Over it.
I can see the rings encaging stumps--
Age running deep.
I can see the water dripping in the river.
And the reflection of what I used to be.
