I still think about you
I can’t help but to laugh when I think of you.
Year after year together we grew.
We were best friends since first grade.
Every weekend, selling our famous lemonade.
We promised each other we’d be sisters till the end,
But something happened neither of us could comprehend.
Innocently we played tag in the street.
Who knew the next day our friendship wouldn’t be complete?
Bright lights shined in our eyes, I screamed and dove for the side.
But when I looked up, on the ground you lied.
It’s my fault I screamed, my knees began to fall.
I tried talking to you as you lied in the hospital.
But that blank look you gave me hurt the most.
You didn’t know who I was… to you I was a ghost.
Weeks later we buried you in he ground.
But if my heart were ripped open you’d still be found.
I promised we’d be best friends till the end.
In my heart our memory’s forever attend.
