"Failure is, in a sense, the highway to success, in as much as every discovery of what is false leads us to seek earnestly after what is true, and very fresh experience points out some form of error which we shall afterward carefully avoid"John Keats

On bended knees,
Through burning eyes,
I looked into the face of God.
I cried, I pleaded,
I screamed and heaved.
But, God refused all mercy.
God looked down and laughed,
Then caught it in and stared,
Pretending to care,
Only wanting to scare,
And stomped a foot in anger.
God's mockery slapped me,
God's enjoyment whipped me,
God's eye's sought my submission.
Snapping to reality,
I ended the show,
My miserable spectacle,
Stood up and turned around.
I am walking away with promises,
Of death, despair, and failure,
God says I'll resubmit,
God believes I'll eventually be thankful.
So crucify my heart,
Trap it behind a stone,
I've found my resurrection,
As a vagabond on the road.
