"Why do bad things
Happen to good people?"
They happen because
There must be something equally
Bad
To contradict
Good.
We do good for ourselves
And for others
In hopes
Of good, easy lives.
But Goddess slaps us
In the face
For thinking about
Improving our lives
And easing our petty sorrows.
Humans are unworthy
Of a life of
Easy-going, sorrowless lifelessness.
Fend for yourself
And keep your standards low
And your chin up.
Goddess gives breaks
You just have to
Find them
Instead of
Creating them.
