They tell me that you are small and I say yes,
For I have many times compared you to others
And they tell me you are different and I agree

because I have seen your farmers riding horses
sharing the dirt roads with cars
And they tell me you are cruel and I believe them saying
I have stood outside in your freezing weather
without being able to feel my fingers or toes
Once I state this I look back and say
Show me another place that doesn’t care what people think,
Who will go on living no matter what,
Who has not yet been polluted like so many others
