Lingering Life
Hate is not between
boy and girl.
Nor friend and foe.
Hate is hope.
Those who have no love, hate.
As those that have no hate, hope.
Because,
When we begin to hate
we begin to hope.
Before we know it
there is no hate
and there is no hope.
Love is gone.
Everything is empty.
When we’re empty
we’re broken.
We begin to hope,
when we run out of hope
we hate.
And I don’t want to mope.
But life is not all about
hate and hope.
Life is what lingers between
hate and hope.
That feeling of perfection at every
extremity of your body and mind.
Life is more than hate, and hope.
