Lost and Found
Today, I picked up my temper in the lost and found. It was under a grey hoodie and a few young minds. I began to wonder what else was let behind and the lure of it all was too much so I had to look around. A t-shirt there, someone's mojo there, at first I didn't find much to write home about but that didn't satisfy my curiosity. I continued to claw my way through and then suddenly, I paused in awe at what I found. It was crumpled and stepped on, battered and bruised. I couldn't tell if it was from wear and tear or just straight out abuse. Fragile and falling apart, I found hope. Hope for the future, hope for a better world and someone lost it. I could really use it; mine has stretch marks and indents from my fingers digging in so much. Sometimes it was all I had to hold to on to in a world that's crumbling at the seams.
