Water on my mind
My friend listens to music,
I prefer the
rain
His rhythmic beeping can’t compare
With the dripping I
hear
Sometimes I imagine the drops
Running into my
body
They blur my red ink,
Make strange, better veins out of my twisted
ones
I think rain is just water
That’s collected one too many
ideas
It’s heavy, too heavy for my frail
Body to handle such a great deal of
thought
Better it to be in my body,
Than in my head, where there is enough
Water.
