Retreat
My body feels safe up here
The heart wanders to the ground
It wants your feet to be nearer
But, there's still a strange sound
Of the clock ticking...as it ticks
I stand upon it, looking down
Millions of people & it's you I pick
You're many miles away, but always around
The city has no people without you
I have no reason to be here if you're not
I'm talking to atoms, out of grattitude
I used to be real, but I already forgot
Just an entity upon this town's clock
Thinking, that is the only real thing about me
Life is everything that I'm not
I'll always be here, but those on the ground
 Will always retreat
