Person Behing the Mirror
What if a mirror to you
Was a window to another?
Regardless of gender
Or that it could be your brother
How would you feel?
They’ve watched since forever
But with a pain in their heart
Sometimes caring what they see
But wishing to be a part
How would you feel?
They try pounding on it
Though you never hear a sound
Hoping to break it
Only to fall to the ground
How would you feel?
Not the tiniest of cracks
As you live the life they wish they had
Though much was taken out on it
Even the things that made you sad
How would you feel?
They’ve seen you laugh
Seen the times that you’ve cried
Yet listened to your every word
As you contemplated suicide
Write a backwards message on your mirror
To show that you care
Nothing all that fancy
Just “thanks for being there”
