Strung up by God
On unseen strings.
You cannot reach them
By plane or with wings.
Some of them shine,
And some of them fall.
With childish faith
We wish on them all.
We use them to see the fate that is ours,
So we wish not to see
The fault in our stars.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem by the book "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. That book was very touching and inspirational in my opinion. I have never experienced anything like that, but I only wish that if I ever do that I could handle it the way that Augustus and Hazel did, and remember that nothing is perfect.

“Creativity is more than just being different. Anybody can plan weird; that's easy. What's hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple, awesomely simple, that's creativity.” - Charles Mingus

I LOVE this poem!!! I have also read "The Fault In Our Stars" and I think you wrote it beautifully. Short, simple, and very very sweet. Definitely a favorite.
