"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you imagined."
-Henry David Thoreau

What happens to a lost feeling?

Does it shrivel up and die,
like an unwatered plant?
Or does it become small,
like the size of an ant?
Does it get abandoned
like an old rotten home?
Or does it bubble up and pop
like a big pile of foam

Maybe it just disappears
like a problem gone away
Or does it just stay?

This poem's structure was based on a poem by Langston Hughes called "A Dream Deferred." I believe this is a very remarkable poem.
