I love you, Tamara
I watch admiringly as she moves to the rhythm of “Swan Lake”-
Pivot, Sway, Whirl, the dancer’s arms flail with elegance and intricacy.
Like a swan dipping mystically into a lake,
It emerges for a breath of fresh air,
 shaking its wet feathers dry,
 Weaving patterns amidst the air.
Her arms motion in my direction-
 with utmost gentle and grace.
 They encircle my rough neck.
I feel her peppermint words tickle my ear, murmuring-
 “Wake up Sleepyhead.”
Unwilling to relinquish my dreamy state, I smile sweetly, crooning-
 “ Mum…?”
A beautiful face stares down at me, she giggles and says,
“You’ve been asleep for half the day. I went out and grabbed you a lunch.”
I hoist my weight and reposition my body on my bed,
 and I reply,
“ Tamara, you remind me so much of my mum.”
