One hushed splash and I crash
into the tenebrous waves below.
Something delicate cushions my fall
With eyes unopened,
my hand reaches out
and touches a wall.
A silky voice reverberates
against the water like chiming bells
singing a quiet lullaby,
a tune of lost loves
and forgotten ones.
