Michelle
When she left, I gave her my favourite belongings to keep.
 It was intended to be a manifestation
 of our how much our ocean-deep affinity meant to me. But-
 she took more than our memories with her.

 I’ve always wanted to write about a kind of love so etheral, even the rarest blossom that reared on planet Earth wouldn’t measure up to.
 I used to think that it isn’t an option for me-
 Until I found inspiration when I met her;
 and I knew-
 However, to adapt, I chose to keep all these words tucked away neatly-
 where they remain hidden but never forgotten.

 Starbucks coffee and pungent of fumes for lunch;
 Travelling on sore feet all across our realm from noon till we reach sunset;
 Shopping for matching accessories and fashion;
 Talking, complaining and mindless jesting;
 On the subway, you sang to your favourite songs, in response I shook with mirth, accompanied your music with the purest notes of laughter.
 During sleepovers in which we watched My Little Pony,
 You were Pinkie Pie and I was Fluttershy; I was convinced we’re kids again.

 We accepted each other’s faults and saw them as beauty;
 our ugly scars, our odd idiosyncrasies, our moody temperaments.
 I was beautiful despite all my flaws because you told me so.

 The moment we went our separate paths, mine became astray.
 I used to accept without a single doubt, the conventional saying-
  “Everyone comes and goes.”-
 Until I learned our friendship.
 Now I’m convinced,
 time takes away everything I hold dear.
