The ocean breeze will keep me company
I watch the waves gently caress the sand
Footprints have faded, the water calm
In repose I see the nymphs dance

Their melodies carry me across the dunes
Forbidden sways enchant my gaze
I laugh and lean against the rocks,
And listen to a song that haunts my thoughts

Moving with the tides, I walk the shore
Slowly their song leaves me,
Returning to my sense I let the water take me
It fills my burning lungs

Golden locks surround me,
Legs slowly become fins
Skin slowly forms to tight scales
Now I have become one with the water’s embrace
