Those eyes,
Peeping out at me from a doorway,
Small eyes, forgotten eyes
A child’s pair of eyes.

Those eyes,
Looking at me across the street,
Lonely eyes, curious eyes
A beggars pair of eyes.

Those eyes,
Glancing at me as I pass,
Arrogant eyes, prideful eyes
A pair of eyes that does not care.

Stories are told
And untold,
Read them in a book
Read them in those eyes.
