You are the fabrication of my imagination
of distorted memories
and bitter goodbyes
of side glances
and whispers in the night
You are the lies inside my head
The negatives of photographs
and the pile of limbs underneath the sheets
You are the lost possibilities
The “I told you so’s,” in conversations
the tears that slip down cheeks
and the manifestation of resentment
You are the monster
left in me

Since I created my writing blog on Tumblr, a rush of inspiration has been assaulting me every sleepless night. This was one of the many creations that came into fruition.
