Rest in Peace
When I heard what happened
My heart stopped and felt like I was frozen in time
I thought mom was playing some cruel joke for a moment
And say she was just kidding or maybe I misunderstood her.
But the look on her face told me it was true
So when I’m sitting on one of the pews, it almost felt unreal
Like I was in some kind of weird dream, wishing I can wake up
But it was happening and the tears flow freely from my eyes
He put the “G” in Grandfather.
An honest, strong man with a kind heart
Who looks past your mistakes no matter how small or big
Even though he is not with me physically, my memories of him will be with me forever
I love you, grandpa
