The Power of Friendship

We sometimes walk through
A dark, sinister valley
We get saddened and we lose hope
We shouldn't though
For we will never be alone
We have someone by our side
Whose holding a lantern and a shield
To light the path and to protect
This person gives us hope
We feel safe and protected by them
And one thing
That they always say at the end
is
"Through the days of darkness, I will be there for you"
That's when we feel
