The Mask
She is drenched from head to toe,
Drenched in fear, a mask covers her lonely form.
Every step taken, is a step filled with shame,
Worrying that there is nobody there for her,
No one around to be her guide through life.
Feeling that reforming is her only solution,
She recreates herself to fit in with anybody.
The cycle of a slow and painful death beings,
Dying of affection, but hesitating the grasp of it.
She dreams that her savior will once arrive,
Saving her from the mysterious trench crossing her path.
She finds her long lost passion in life.
She is an angel sent to open our eyes
to what is truly important in this world.
A crumbling piece to the puzzle she is,
Though she is a larger piece than we expected.
We need this soul more than we thought.
