Fate has a Sense of Humor

Fate is a funny thing,
Fate has a sense of humor.
To draw to very different people together,
And push two very similar people apart.
Fate is one who lives by ‘opposites attract,’
Fate has a plan all its own.
I know it was there that night, Fate,
When I desperately wanted him to notice me all alone.
He didn’t.
I know Fate was there that night,
When someone else revealed his feelings to me,
One’s that I hadn’t realized that I returned.
Fate is a funny thing.
I think I’m glad though,
That Fate has a sense of humor.
