If Only You Knew
You're one of my best friends, there for me everyday,
But I didn't really expect to start feeling this way.
The first time I met you, I thought I had a crush,
Until I realized I was only trying to rush.
We were friends all summer, no trying to be anything more,
Then autumn came, and I was sure it was you I was falling for.
Sometimes, I think you feel the same,
But my mind is probably just playing games.
Am I the only one you text, I wonder,
And the group get togethers, are they just a cover?
I have to wonder, why was I the only one to get a hug?
Believe me, I don't mind, but I'm falling deeper in love.
I think I'm falling too hard for you,
And all I can think is: “If Only You Knew”
