If I could capture you,
To have forever, to always see,
To keep, to hold the memory
Upon the white, under the pine
A finish.
Miles and miles and miles, then stop.
Pull off, look up,
Look out.
A glimpse of other peaks,
A slow descent of light while I, for once, stand still
For once, looking around instead of down
Embracing not the white, but the pink and purple and orange
For once, realizing
