How often we seek to do better than our best
How often, we in doing so, ruin things
This is because
We do not recognize
That the first is best
Think about it
Our first love, never forgotten
Our first jobs, the easiest
Our first toy, very simple, loads of fun
Our first friend, imaginary, knows what to say
Our first day of school, exciting
Our first child, the happiest moment
Our first hobby, the most interesting
The simple fact is
Our first is always the best
Always the most important
And always there
