hello sweet sounds of autumn … i await your return … where have you been?
lost in the melody of your own voice,
the beat of your own drum?
come back to mama,
before this summer tune bids me dead,
nevah did like the mention of departing,
yet i,
i am willing to wave a sweet good-bye to these hot days and hotter nights,
i’ll be waiting, autumn leaves,
for you to come back and comfort my weary soul.

This poem was amazing! I found the first couple of lines to be very compelling and captivating.

I love the feel this poem gives off, it's like i can get the description and you get all warm inside and you can feel a bit of sunshine on your cheek when you read this-its a great piece, a really great piece.
the mention of autumn leaves gives this piece a sense of hibernation for winter, not necessarily fall for me... especially with the line "summer tune bids me dead..." interesting thought to think this was inspired from a friend... how does it all fit? good stuff though, read some of mine?
