Mockery
You know how much I care.
You know the blood, sweat, and heartache I’ve put in.
 You mock me.

You know how sensitive I am about this.
You know how much I doubt my abilities.
 You mock me.

You know how important this is to me.
You know how stressed I am.
 You mock me.

 This is who I am.
This is what matters to me.
 You mock me.

You attack what I hold dear.
You leave me hanging instead of trying to convince me that I am good enough.
 You mock me.

When you come to me hurt, I support you.
When you come to me broken, I hold you until you feel better.
 But you mock me.

You tell me that I shouldn’t care as much.
You try and make me the villain.
 You mock me.

 You make me feel worthless.
 You’re my best friend, so
 I believe you.

 You mock me.
