Images from a satellite
In this closed corner of outer space,
My desk is a shield for the ultra violet rays
which radiate from the clock on the wall
counting down the minutes in the
 with 13:00 instead of 1:00.

Its going to be a long long time
till touchdown brings me around again to find
 turned backs and whispered lies.

And I'm waiting for that 13:00 to
become a 15:00 so the countdown ends
and buzzer will ring me home
on a spaceship made of yellow foil.

I'll tread on linoleum and shag for
and listen to their light sword battles
while I hide under a safety blanket.

But only for a couple hours
because soon I'll be in orbit
in my foil bus and satellite desk.
