Ribbons of salty water seep through her bathing suit.
Ice dousing her burning flesh.
The coarse grains of sand glue themselves
to her pudgy feet.
Knives cutting the raw meat.
The wind shoved her to the ground.
Whips scorching her naïve skin.
Hopelessly, she sat
And waited.
But no one came,
To pick her up and keep her warm.
