Spinning
The earth keeps spinning
 And I’m here sitting
 Not yet quitting
 But not quite living

 I feel stuck
 Almost like
 I’m frozen
 In time
 Searching for a sign
To let me know I’m alive
 Dying to survive
 Dying to die
It isn’t the same when you see it through my eyes

And all I want to do is satisfy
 To let them know
 I ain’t living no lie
 “I’m going to be something!”
 I scream
 But their looks of disappointment
 Conceive
A future paved with endless days
Of office work and little pay
 But I won’t settle for a life
 Filled with bored
 No open doors
 These are the wars
 For a girl or boy
 Who crave fame over friendship
 Cameras over candy
 It’s a life of insanity
One - no man should see
 But that’s me you see
A little girl who just wants to be free
 From this world of confinement
To a place where words run free

I’m going to be what I’m going to be
Despite what any of you think of me
