Tik Tok Tik Tok (museum street clock)
Proudly they all stand;
black, white, old, and dull.
They watch as the town
goes from slow to fast.
Tik tok tik tok…
Kids dance among them
as time hurries on.
The climate can’t even
keep them from running.
Tik tok tik tok…
Brand new buildings rose;
updated and bright.
They now stand unseen.
Not wanted. Not used.
Tik tok tik tok…
They got in the path
of modernization.
No eyes looking,
they’re required to go.
Nothing left to hear.
All forever gone,
except one still stood.
Proudly it stands up right;
very historically.
