Why I Write

I write as away of expressing myself and holding myself back.
I write as away of mourning the lost and celebrating the discovered.

I write to show myself what can be accomplished and what can be dreamt about.

I write because what else would we do with paper?
I write as away to recycle my ideas.
I write because lead has no other use.

I write for those who cannot.
I write knowing that my work can be another persons Bible.
I write to embrace the true and fight the false.

I write for detail, I write for understanding.
I write so I can say I’m out of ideas.

I write for facts, I write for lies.
I write for truth, I write for fiction.
I write because the pen is only mightier than the sword if you use it.

I write as if truth and lies are at war and if only one is to be upon my paper let it be the lies, for truth is what people need to hear but not what they want to hear.

I write because my pencil is the earthquakes and plates that shape the Earth and every time my pencil touches the smoothness of the paper, it will form a new formation of words and ideas to be known.

I write to let my mind sharpen and stab through the lies and fabrications of the world and form something new.

I write to give the greatest speech that was never spoken.

I write for exaggerations, I write for perfection, I write for truth, I write for joy, I write for life, I write for me.

For all the reasons stated in his work - i hope the author continues to write.  It's clear he has not only a joy, but a need to express himself on paper.  love how Michael G. shares of himself in this piece.  Nicely done!
