I've never heard you slink through the hallway, taking pictures of the atrocities of middle school.

I wake up, drenched in sweat,
staring at the grime colored wall across from my bed,
It was only a dream.
I focus on my heavy breathing, trying to mask my dissapointment.
Suddenly,
I hear screaming,
pounding,
yelling,
and glass breaking as I am brought back to the reality of my horrible life.
I close my eyes,
trying to drown out the screams of my parents
with fanciful dreams.
But none come
