You or Me
You
 You push me down
 You hold me back
You tell me I’m no good
 You try to contain me

 I look in the mirror
 And see all your jeers
 I hear all your hate
And I feel all your thorns

Over the years, I’ve been chained by you
 I’ve been restrained by you
I’ve been trapped in by you
And I’ve been hurt by you

 But now, I’m stronger
 And can fight against you
This body and soul is mine…mine
I brush away the chains made by you

You are me and I am you
But we cannot be one anymore
I’ll push away you and your words
I can do what I want, but I won’t need you.
