"In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility." ~Eleanor Roosevelt

Broken down,
Torn apart,
Dirty smudges,
Never loved

A doll with loose arms,
With scratches covering her body,
With hair that will never stay down,
With legs that wont bend right

Thrown down,
Ripped apart,
Dark smudges,
Never loved

A doll with eyes that never open,
With gum stuck in her hair,
With clothes shredded,
With a smile struck on her face

Smashed down,
Cut apart,
Deep smudges,
Never loved

A doll never cared for,
Who is actually a girl,
Nobody knows her,
Nobody cares about her

Broken in half

I have read books and seen movies, and there are girls who feel this way inside. I think we can all relate to this poem one way or another. You being broken, inside or out.

This is a beautiful poem. I love how you used the image of the doll, and the description of how it was broken was impeccable - wow, great job!
