Fire In The Sea
She stood on the high shores,
Her crimson robes bright against the dark hills behind, the moonlight luminescent on her pale face.
She took one last look at the sky above, spotted with the silver stars,
So vast and frigid in the midnight air,
And fell, with grace and regality,
Giving herself to the sea.
As her slim body fell through the curtains of black waters,
The last rays of light brushed against her cheek,
Until she was lost to the mighty arms of the ocean.
Such devotion rushed over her,
So cold and so sweet.
She dropped gently unto the sandy bed,
Thousands of miles from the touch of God.
Her blood red dresses still sway in the waves,
Her eyes reflecting the surrender in her heart.
