"Never apologizing for feeling. When you do so, you apologize for the truth." - Benjamin Disraeli

sunlight falls through closed blinds
like a thin cirrus of mist
bending, writhing, dancing on carpet
flickering with subtle grace

dew drops pool on wet stalks of grass
like tears of stinging joy
dripping, sliding, trickling on leaves
drizzling with quiet moistness

grey skies ripple and part
like an ocean of white capped waves
rolling, surging, flowing over clouds
revealing the blue expanse beneath

a cool breeze slips through the air
as if morning opened its windows
blowing, waftng, breathing with zephyr
whispering possibilities of the day to come

You're just as talented as a poet as a prose writer. i like your style here. And fine word choices.
