The Babe didn’t need one,
Neither the other legends,
But I do with their pinging and popping,
Sending balls flying everywhere,
The story of all my hits
engraved on one bat with all the scuffs,
Hard liners, singles up the middle and doubles,
CF4, Reflex my normal hitting sticks,
The definition of lengthy spring nights at Wilson Park,
Through loses, wins, strikeouts
Championships and playoff games,
Too bad it’s gone with the wind
