I'm Fine

You ask me how I’m doing
And I tell you I’m fine
You say that I am lying
And try to read my eyes
For the words my mouth won’t say
With a smile and gritted teeth
I tell you no, it is the truth
Backing off, you tell me
That I better not be lying
And you never seem to realize
“Fine” is a matter
Of opinion.
