Dinosaur Envy

If I were a dinosaur
my skin would be purple with yellow polka dots
Because for dinosaurs, anything is possible
I would stomp around
on the forest floor carpeted with pine needles
and eat leafy fronds all day
On a rainy day, I’m not quite sure what I would do
Perhaps I would curl up by the hearth
with a good book or two
But wait – I forgot
Dinosaurs did not have books or hearths
I suppose it is a good thing that I am not a dinosaur after all.
