The rain erases the tears she cries.
The darkness hides the whites of her eyes.
The sadness overpowers every emotion.
Every teardrop creates another ocean.

The truth erases all the lies.
Failure hides all the tries.
The wind blows all the secrets away.
Time erases the history of yesterday.

The future erases bad memories.
Friends hide all the enemies.
Happiness destroys all of the sorrow.
Love creates a brighter tomorrow.

The rain continues to pour on the ground.
All of her tears fall down to the ground.
Swept away in the forceful mist.
The sadness engulfed and softly kissed.

The nightmares tonight erase the dreams of yesterday.
The sunshine might soon take all the rain away.
Yet the sadness creeps over her still.
Rain pouring on the window sill.

She pulls back the sash and asks for inspiration.
A way to improve her life’s destination.
Though the clouds are still haunting.
Ominous darkness continues its taunting.

The rain continues, so do her tears.
They increased in severity throughout her years.
She’s happy at day, depressed at night.
She prays that the dark will be overpowered by light.

Until then all she can do is sit still,
Cry on her pillow, rain on the window sill.
Dreaming of a brighter future, one happy day.
The sunshine will never take the rain away.

For every tear is a drop of rain.
The sadness, the cold, and all of the pain.
But with every storm is one rainbow.
She hopes the happiness will soon grow.

But the rain continues, steady but slow.
She looks out the window, sees a rainbow.
Its beautiful hues of bright red and blue.
She realizes now what she must do.

Erase her cries; erase the rain.
Erase the darkness; erase her pain.
Erase the sadness, increase the cheer.
Erase the tears; increase her years.

Erase the lies; find the truth.
Erase the failure in all our youth.
Erase the secrets; increase eternity.
Erase the history; increase infinity.

Erase the memories; create ones that are new.
Erase the enemies; find friends that are true.
Erase the sorrow; find happiness.
Discover love; the true bliss.

Erase the rain that falls to the ground.
Erase the sadness, engulfed all around.
Erase her tears swept away in the mist.
Erase the sorrow that’s softly kissed.

Erase the rain and bring her snow.
Destroy the storm; create a rainbow.
Dream of a world when you close your eyes.
Because the rain has erased the tears you have cried.

The author's comments:
I was inspired one night when I was upset. It was raining outside. I stepped outside and noticed all the raindrops erased my tears. When I went back inside I felt happier. I guess the rain has that power to make you feel better even though we often perceive it as misery.
