Seen, Felt, Heard
I have seen the seasons change, like the many colors of life.
I have seen many people change, coming who they are, and who they aren't.
I have seen age, from the cries of a newborn, to the creak of old bones.
I have felt too much, and too little as well.
But what I haven’t seen, and what I haven’t felt, is the love you could bestow upon my empty, cold, and silent heart.
I have heard the weeping of a motherless child.
I have heard the laughter of children at play.
I have heard the soft words of love, whispered from pale lips.
But never your lips, never to me.
I have seen, I have felt, I have heard, but I have not lived.
