All around the world people are labeled,
A perceived idea of how we are disabled.
Our religion labels us of what we are able,
It makes you violent, caring, strange, bound, and unstable.

The pigment of our skin determines how you act,
It's hard to rewire a predisposition attack.
To the actions of others we poorly react,
There is a veil over our eyes, the color is black.

Not to mention what we do with our lives,
Be a doctor, a teacher, cook or mid-wife.
But an actor, a poet? It will bring you nothing but strife,
Meager wages won't even bring in rice.

Education is about how well you learn,
If you aren't the best you have nothing to earn.
No child left behind? We are all forgotten in turn,
To be stereotypical smart we all yearn.

Stereotyping all of mankind,
To the feelings of others we are purposefully blind,
How we look, act, pray or learn is a specific design.

I can't change,
Even if I tried,
Even if I wanted to.

Why not let me choose who I am,
Don't stereotype me, or tell me who I am.
I am me,
That is all I ever will be.
