Almost 16
I lay down to sleep,
 but it's a nightmares keep.

I toss and turn all night,
 fighting the morning light.

My eyelids are filled with unspeakable gore,
my feelings will take you on a winding tour.

Sometimes I'd like to run and hide from it all,
but I won't get far before I fall.

It's been like this since I was born,
year by year I'm more torn.

Now I'm almost 16 and can barley stand,
how much longer before someone lends a hand?
