Elephant In The Room

There once was an elephant, walking in gloom
He was sure he was heading for doom!
For humans and all
Made a quite false call
That he always appeared in their rooms!
Never had he been there,
Never at all!
The room would have to be wide and tall!
This poor grey elephant
Would never assume
That when humans said "The Elephant in the Room"
It was just a saying
Most everybody used
But that poor grey elephant
Forever stayed confused.
