it is not the content of what you write about that makes literature enticing; it is the emotion you place into it

I a bird yearning for the wind
Moon and tide pulled and pinned
Upon the rocks I sought to be free
To glide like a leaf from a fallen tree
For the first time ever I desired to fly
Beyond the brush that painted night’s sky
The wind is calling me and heavens divide
My wings expand for the current is my guide
I a bird coursing through the tranquil wind
Do say goodbye as the new moon grinned
To not gaze back upon the once delicate past
Gone from the earth to be the wind at last

Death inspired me to write this poem because it is that one thing that everyone will experience and most fear it. This poem soothes the fear with new found freedom
